“The Banker” Explores The Story Of The First African American Banker In The United States
Something different to learn about our history.
Set in the 1950’s, this drama explores the true story of two black entrepreneurs, Bernard Garrett (played by Anthony Mackie) and Joe Morris (played by Samuel L. Jackson).
According to IMDb.com, Garrett and Morris hire a working-class white man, Matt Steiner (played by Nicholas Hoult) to pretend to be the head of their business empire while they posed as a janitor and chauffeur. Sounds pretty interesting to me.
